Like i said in the first page there are alot of soviet armor which never saw full production, only getting a prototype eventually rotting away in a surplus dump somewhere in russia. So im only going to do some of the most well known and some of my favorite.

BTR IFV

One of my favorite vehicles right now which was soviet designed was the BTR series of infantry fighting vehicles. IFV are vehicles designed to fight with and against other IFV's or infantry. Most if not all IFV's carry infantry then drop them off before engaging in combat, BTR's are no different. There have been many btr's in history ranging in firepower and purposes but most commonly they have a heavy machine gun or automatic cannon and a compartment for 6-8 infantry.

t-72

the t-72, the soviet super weapon which spanned the globe, with a gun strong enough to destroy any western armor! or at least that's what the people thought as the soviet built tank, the birth child of the t-62 wasn't as much of a "super weapon" as previously thought. to say the least the t-72 was at its best in 1972 where it could stand up to western powers but as the years passed the tank gained a reputation as being a glass cannon.

this reputation was given to it for many reasons so let's get to them first the placement of ammunition its in a caracal... in other words the ammunition is stored next to the crew in a big circle automatically fed into the breach through a autoloader which might seem smart until you realize that autoloaders have a lot of parts deliquit parts which if damaged fully shut down and stop the gun from firing and you might say "oh, can the crew just load rounds manually?" no. because the loader role has been phased out of the military for years when i say years i mean decades so to say the least... its suboptimal. and because the ammunition is in a circle if they get hit centermass the ammunition explodes, to express how bad that is let me tell you what happens when it explodes. once the ammunition detonates the explosive mass is so strong it sheers off the turret from the hull and since there is now a exit from what was a completely enclosed space all the very vary hot gas shoots out throwing the turret sometimes hundreds of feet in the air.

Even though I could go on, I seem to have made it to the bottom of the screen so I will sign off for now with the armor, but I want to give an honorable mention to the bmp1/2 and t-80 as both interesting vehicles.
